The Weekend...

First of all I would like to say, that I am sitting on my comfy couch with free wireless, thanks to my gracious neighbors!!!

Ok, so this weekend.
Thursday- Catch some sun and swim at Naha beach with Julie. I am pretty sure that I swam in pee where all the little kids gathered. yuk yuk yuk. Did some sightseeing in the rain, and entered into the forbidden. Well, not exactly, but it sounds more interesting....
End up at the airport to pick up Mari, as in Calamari... she calls me "Billy, Billy Goat.." it sounds soooo funny when she says it. Mari is lots of funt, she is visiting Julie from
Canadia.

Friday- Hmmm. I forgot...

Saturday... Met Julie and Mari for lunch at this really cute Itallian Herb Cafe. We got free dessert compliments of the cutie chef. After, I did some shopping then headed home for some R & R since that evening I went to Roi Izakaya in Naha to say goodbye to Racheal, my favorite Brit. After 50 minutes of 100 yen beer, you can imagine how fun it was!! I ditched the crowd as they headed to some karaoke. I left to this little bar I discovered to pick up..... ha not what you are thinking!!!! lol.... But instead I found my Japanese friend as he was just closing up the bar. He re-0pened the baru for me... we had a drink and then headed over to Paul and Mikes for some more fun. We chatted away the night with me pretending to speak Japanese. After we... sorry no more details.... but again... not what you are thinking!!!!! lol. Got home at who knows what time.....

Sunday- Lounged around... met the gals for lunch again. Slept, Slept, watched a movie and slept.

Today, Monday... Last day of summer school!!!! We made icecream in class today and finished our body parts projects!! Notice how "dimple" is spelled! He spelled "dimble". Cute huh?

NO Tittle .........Just Writing

So I am back from Los Angeles, sitting at my desk and back to the normal pace of life here in Okinawa. I don't really know how I feel this morning. This morning I spent my time reading the blogs of my fellow ALT's and they seem to be having such a blast. People are joining in drum festivals, marathons (not that i am going to.... I wouldn't last!) sports activities with their fellow teachers.... why is it that I am very willing to join in and do something (besides a marathon) and I can't find anything? How do they do it? They seem more culturally intact with Okinawa than I do. I have another year here.... and i wonder why because excatly what I do here is excatly what i do at home. The only difference is that I am here. How do I get involved..... dunno...
